CAD of the FRANC bot frame

Mechanical team finished designing the outer frame of the bot that support T slots. These slots add additional support any paneling we do and acts as the back bone of FRANC.  And paneling acts as a protective shell to separate any outside elements from affecting any internal components.

 

Kinect Depth Image

Software has worked with the kinect sensor and got a depth disparity stream running. The pixels are gray scaled and the distance is portrayed with darker being closer and lighter being further. Black pixels represent invalid readings and this happens if the object is too close or too far.
